Thomas Bille Winkel

Senior Advisor

Thomas Bille Winkel advises on strategic communications, public affairs and PR. He has more than 20 years of experience from the heart of Danish government and politics, including as Head of Press and Communications in several ministries. He has also twice served as Special Adviser to Sophie Løhde, first at the Ministry of Finance and most recently at the Ministry of the Interior and Health. In that role, he was closely involved in the political work surrounding the Danish healthcare reform and Cancer Plan V.

Thomas has also gained experience from the private sector. At Novo Nordisk, he was among other things involved in the launch of weight-loss medication on the Danish market and worked on sustainability. At Danske Spil, he worked to promote responsible gambling and healthy gambling habits.

With experience spanning politics, the media and the business world, Thomas has an in-depth understanding of the political landscape and of how companies and organisations can best navigate the intersection of politics, communications and public affairs.

Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Communication from Roskilde University.

When he is not working, Thomas is often off to Italy. He has a great affection for the country – its nature, food, people and, not least, its football culture. He has attended Serie A matches in cities including Naples, Rome and Bologna. And his passion for what he considers the world’s most beautiful game does not stop at the Italian border. Thomas has also visited stadiums across Spain, Germany and England in search of his next great football experience.
